“Your life will not get better by chance; it gets better by change”

My name is Nur Laili Alfiatin Mukharomah, a student in the Environmental Engineering program at UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. I am an individual with a strong work ethic, good analytical skills, discipline, responsibility, and reliable communication skills. I believe that the key to success lies in the combination of dedication and expertise.

Based on my experiences, I have been actively involved in both internal and external organizational activities on campus. Some of my organizational experiences include serving as the vice-chairperson of the UKM Penalaran dan Kreativitas at UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur, the general secretary of the Sustainable Environmental Movement community, the secretary of the Communication and Media Information department of the Indonesian Association of Environmental Engineering Students, and participation in 20 committees. I have also been engaged in environmental projects, reflecting my commitment to environmental issues, such as tree planting, beach cleaning, and participating in webinars or focus group discussions related to environmental issues. In addition to environmental activities, I often participate in social activities such as teaching and community development. From these experiences, I believe that caring for the environment and living beings is crucial for us as social beings.

I have a passion for writing, both academic and non-academic, as a means of expressing my ideas and emotions. I believe that writing is an effective way to share ideas and influence positive change. In the realm of writing, I have worked as a copywriter for an NGO and achieved more than 10 victories in essay competitions, scientific writing, and business plans. In the non-academic field, I have published two poetry anthologies titled “Time to Change Oneself” in 2023 and “Love Song at Sunset” in 2021.

Currently, I am also interested in venturing into the business world. The combination of my understanding of environmental engineering and my interest in business provides a rich and innovative perspective. Some of the businesses I have been involved in include the Craby Spray project from the Entrepreneurship PKM organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, which transforms crab shell waste into a spray that reduces the danger of cigarette smoke. In the P2MW program, I worked on the digital startup TrashCare, an application for waste distribution services that are managed and utilized as products by waste craftsmen, with the results being sold to consumers. Lastly, in the business incubation program at UPN “Veteran” East Java, I am part of BeBrand, a digital product offering branding services such as logo design, video design, website design, and other design services focused on branding for SMEs.
